Morley grew as a mill town and the housing shows it: stone-built Victorian terraces around the centre, then semis and newer estates further out. Terraces bring their own boiler questions. Heat pumps in older homes
Can a stone terrace run on a heat pump?
Often, yes, but it has to be sized properly. Solid stone walls lose more heat than modern cavity walls, so a heat pump for a Morley terrace is worked out from a room-by-room heat loss calculation, not from the size of the old boiler. Some rooms end up needing a bigger radiator, and a few houses need insulation work first.
